Free Radical
Borderlands 3 has many different weapons, but only a few are as good as Free Radical. The gun in question is a legendary pistol manufactured by Maliwan, boasting massive damage and great uses for various characters. You must have DLC 6: Director’s Cut to get Free Radical.
Free Radical has a unique ability called Don’t Be So Negative, and its effects are as follows.
- It shoots energy orbs that deal Shock Splash Damage.
- Once the orb hits an enemy, it launches a homing projectile that hits another enemy but does not have splash damage.
This pistol is truly a masterpiece, and you can use it with many different builds, including some for Moze, FL4K, and Zane.
Free Radical only comes with one element, and it’s as below.
- Shock – it is effective against shielded enemies.
How to get Free Radical
To get Free Radical, you will need the DLC 6: Director’s Cut in Borderlands 3. All the enemies from the DLC have a chance to drop this weapon, but Beef Plisskin has increased chances.
- Beef Plisskin has a 30% chance of dropping the Free Radical pistol.
Beef Pliskin is a mini-boss, so you will need some good weapons and skills to fight him. To find Beef Pliskin, you have to go to the Karass Canyon area. Here, you can find him and defeat him to have a chance of getting the Free Radical pistol. Additionally, it’s possible to keep respawning him since he is a mini-boss.
Besides this mini-boss, you can try to farm to various chests and other loot sources that are part of Borderlands 3 DLC 6: Director’s Cut since they all have a chance of dropping this gun. However, Beef Pliskin is the best option when looking to get Free Radical in Borderlands 3 since he has the highest chance of dropping it.
