The Hunt: A Borderlands Community Event Raises Over $60,000 for Charity!

The Borderlands community is known for its passion and dedication, but this year, they truly went above and beyond during the latest “Hunt” edition, a special charity event that bring players together for a great cause: raising money and awareness for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. 

What is the Hunt event? 

The Hunt is an event in the Borderlands gaming community where players try to collect rare and special items from the game as fast as they can. It’s like a big treasure hunt inside the game.

Each streamer starts with a new character and has a week to hunt for as many rare items as possible. The rarer the item, the more points they earn. While players stream their hunts, viewers can donate money, but the best part is all the money raised during the event is for charity! 

September 2024 Hunt Edition

In the latest edition, which took place in Borderlands 3 from September 13 to September 22, 106 players joined this amazing treasure hunt adventure! The total amount raised for this edition was $64,490!  

This is not the first Hunt event; it has been running since 2017 and all put together it’s a total of $400,000 raised for St. Jude’s Hospital!
