The functioning of the Magic Missile is it releases child grenades, when it detonates it has a large splash radius and it also bounces off walls. Keep in mind, when you are using it you may want to keep your distance and not let it touch you as it deals quite high damage. In order to get this grenade, you will need to have the Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep DLC. To have a chance to drop this item you will need to sacrifice items at the Sacrificial Altar, at Dragon Keep, by doing this you may summon a Badass Wizard and loot the Magic Missile from him.
