Borderlands PRE SEQUEL MOONSTONE Farming
Best BOSS & QUEST Farms
The Ultimate MOONSTONE FARMING GUIDE
Moonstones are one of the most valuable currencies in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. They’re used to purchase upgrades, open Moonstone Chests, and apply Moonstone Grinds to improve your gear.
Below are the best Moonstone farming methods in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, whether you’re looking for the fastest Moonstone farm or want to collect legendary gear while farming.
Iwajira
Location: Serenity’s Waste
Type: Mini-boss farm
DLC Required: No
What is the Iwajira FARM?
Iwajira is a hidden mini-boss located in Serenity’s Waste and is widely considered the best source of Moonstones in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. Each run rewards around 20 Moonstones, making it the fastest way to stock up on this valuable currency.
Besides Moonstones, Iwajira also has a chance to drop the legendary Thingy rocket launcher, giving you another reason to farm this boss.
How to Farm Iwajira?
- Travel to Serenity’s Waste.
- Follow the route to Iwajira’s hidden cave.
- Defeat Iwajira and collect the Moonstones and any loot it drops.
- Save and Quit.
- Reload your character and repeat the process.
TIPS
- If you’re playing in Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode (UVHM), consider switching to Normal Mode to defeat Iwajira much faster while earning the same Moonstones.
- Iwajira drops approximately 20 Moonstones every run.

Guardian Hunter
Location: Vorago Solitude
Type: Quest farm
DLC Required: No
What is the Guardian Hunter FARM?
The Guardian Hunter quest is one of the best all-around farming methods in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. Because the Guardians spawn endlessly until you complete the objective, you can continuously defeat them to collect Moonstones, cash, gear, and experience without ever finishing the mission.
While this method is well known for its excellent XP gains, it’s also a reliable way to build up a large supply of Moonstones during a single farming session.
How to setup the Guardian Hunter FARM?
- Travel to Vorago Solitude.
- Accept the Guardian Hunter side quest from Sterwin.
- Equip the special grenade required to begin the mission.
- Do not use the grenade, as capturing the Guardians will progress the quest.
- Stand near the Guardian spawn point and continuously defeat the Guardians as they appear.
- Collect the Moonstones and other loot that drop.
- Save and Quit whenever you’re ready to reset the farm, then repeat.
TIPS
- Besides Moonstones, this farm also rewards plenty of XP, cash, and gear.
- Save and Quit every few minutes if the game starts slowing down because of the large number of enemy bodies.
- Fast-firing weapons and high-DPS builds make this farm much more efficient.
- Avoid completing the quest until you’re finished farming, otherwise the infinite enemy spawns will stop.

FELICITY

What is the FELICITY Farm?
Felicity is an excellent alternative if you’re looking for Moonstones while also farming gear. Besides dropping Moonstones herself, defeating Felicity gives you access to a loot room containing several high-quality chests, including a Moonstone Chest.
This makes the Felicity farm a great choice if you want to collect Moonstones without repeatedly farming Iwajira, while still having a chance to find legendary gear.
How to setup the FELICITY Farm?
- Travel to the Titan Robot Production Plant.
- Defeat Felicity and collect the Moonstones and loot she drops.
- Continue into the treasure room behind the boss arena.
- Open every chest, including the Moonstone Chest.
- Collect your rewards.
- Save and Quit.
- Reload your game and repeat the farm.
TIPS
- Besides Moonstones, Felicity has a chance to drop the legendary Quasar grenade mod.
- Don’t forget to loot the treasure room behind the arena, as it contains several high-quality chests.
- If you’re farming both gear and Moonstones, this method is a great alternative to farming Iwajira repeatedly.
