What is the Loot Midgets Farm?

Loot Midgets are one of the best ways to farm legendary gear in Borderlands 2. By using the Doctor’s Orders side quest from Tannis, you can force up to four Loot Midgets to spawn from specific boxes inside the Wildlife Exploitation Preserve.

This farm is especially popular because Loot Midgets can drop a wide range of valuable items, including legendary weapons, class mods, relics, and other world drops. It is one of the most reliable non-DLC farms for players looking to collect gear during the main game.

How to Farm Loot Midgets?

Before starting this farm, accept the Doctor’s Orders quest from Tannis in Sanctuary once the Wildlife Exploitation Preserve becomes available.

  1. Travel to Wildlife Exploitation Preserve.
  2. Make sure you do not pick up any of the Slag Experiment Notes from the Doctor’s Orders quest.
  3. Progress through the map until you reach the area near the Natural Selection Annex entrance.
  4. Enter the Natural Selection Annex, then immediately leave to create a closer save point.
  5. Clear the enemies around the Loot Midget boxes before opening them.
  6. Open the boxes one by one to spawn the Loot Midgets.
  7. Kill the Loot Midgets and collect their drops.
  8. Save and quit, then reload your character to repeat the farm.

TIPS

  • Do not collect any Doctor’s Orders quest items, or the farm will stop working.
  • Kill nearby enemies before opening the boxes, as too many enemies on the map can prevent some Loot Midgets from spawning.
  • Open the boxes one at a time if you want a safer farm.
  • You can open nearby ammo chests before saving and quitting to restock without spending money.
  • Shooting the egg sacs nearby can sometimes spawn an extra midget, giving you another chance at loot during the run.

What is the Tinder Snowflake Farm?

Tinder Snowflake is one of the best repeatable loot farms in Borderlands 2. Each run rewards you twice: first from Tinder Snowflake’s boss drops, then from the Loot Train, which arrives after the fight carrying several chests filled with weapons, shields, class mods, relics, and other valuable gear.

Because you receive loot from both the boss and the train, this farm is an excellent choice for players looking to gear up.

How to Farm Tinder Snowflake?

Before starting this farm, complete the How Marcus Saved Mercenary Day DLC campaign so Tinder Snowflake can be fought repeatedly.

  1. Fast travel to Marcus’s Mercenary Shop.
  2. Make your way to Tinder Snowflake’s arena.
  3. Ring the bell to summon the boss.
  4. Defeat Tinder Snowflake and collect any gear he drops.
  5. Get out of the arena and go to Gingerton’s main square (Big Chirstmas tree)
  6. Pull the lever on the train.
  7. Collect the gear you want, then Save and Quit.
  8. Reload your character and repeat the farm.

TIPS

  • Empty your backpack before each run so you have enough space for all the gear.
  • If you’re having trouble defeating Tinder Snowflake, you can safely attack him from the wooden platform. Ring the bells, run back toward the elevator, then jump onto the rocks to the right to reach the platform.

Leviathan’s Treasure Room Glitch (Elevator Glitch)

What is the Leviathan’s Treasure Room Glitch?

The Leviathan’s Treasure Room Glitch allows you to repeatedly access the Leviathan’s treasure room without having to defeat the boss each time. Normally, the treasure room can only be looted once after defeating the Leviathan, but this glitch lets you return to it as many times as you like.

Although it’s one of the more difficult glitches to master, it’s also one of the best ways to farm Captain Scarlett DLC legendary weapons, class mods, relics, and other high-quality loot.

How to Farm the Leviathan’s Treasure Room?

Before starting this farm, you’ll need the Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty DLC and the X Marks the Spot (Treasure of the Sands) quest.

  1. Defeat The Leviathan and enter the treasure room normally.
  2. Loot every chest, but do not turn in the quest.
  3. Save and Quit, then reload your character.
  4. You’ll respawn inside the Leviathan, where the boss immediately dies.
  5. Instead of entering the treasure room normally, perform the Elevator Glitch to climb the invisible wall.
  6. Once on top, follow the invisible path and pass through the wall to re-enter the treasure room.
  7. Loot the chests, then Save and Quit to repeat the process.

TIPS

  • This glitch takes practice and may require several attempts before you can perform it consistently.
  • If you repeatedly fall through the invisible wall or can’t trigger the Elevator Glitch, Save and Quit before trying again.
  • Turning up your in-game brightness can make it easier to see the visual landmarks used during the glitch.

What is the Crawmerax’s Chest Room Glitch?

The Crawmerax’s Chest Room Glitch allows you to repeatedly access the treasure room found after defeating the Son of Crawmerax. Normally, the chest room can only be looted once, but by using a series of movement glitches, you can bypass the closed doors and invisible walls to farm all of the treasure chests again.

Although this method requires more practice than most loot farms, it’s an excellent way to obtain legendary weapons, class mods, relics, and other high-quality gear from the Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty DLC.

How to Farm Crawmerax’s Chest Room?

Before starting this farm, you’ll need to defeat the Son of Crawmerax at least once to unlock the treasure room.

  1. Spawn the Son of Crawmerax and intentionally die to lower the entrance lift.
  2. Respawn and return to the arena.
  3. Perform the required movement glitches and reach the first chest room (check video below).
  4. Loot all of the available chests.
  5. Perform another movement glitch to bypass the closed wall and access the remaining treasure chests (check video below).
  6. Collect the rest of the loot, then Save and Quit.
  7. Reload your character and repeat the process.

TIPS

  • This glitch relies on advanced movement techniques, so it may take several attempts to master.
  • If playing Salvador, a Grog Nozzle and Badaboom are highly recommended, as the glitch is much easier to perform with the drunk rocket jump.
  • Different Vault Hunters can perform the glitch, although some have an easier time than others thanks to their movement skills.
  • Once mastered, this is one of the fastest ways to repeatedly farm the Son of Crawmerax treasure room.
