In the Borderlands games, Gearbox Software added several easter eggs:

” An Easter egg is a hidden video game feature or surprise. Easter eggs are usually unlocked by using certain techniques to complete in-game tasks, entering specific button combinations or acquiring access to secret game or game file areas.”

Here is a guide on how to find the Minecraft easter egg in Borderlands 2.

This Minecraft easter egg is only available after chapter 9, once Sanctuary takes off.

With this Easter Egg you will unlock the following skin:

1st step: Caustic Caverns

First go to “Caustic Caverns”, to get to that zone you can use the fast-travel:

Another way to get to Caustic Caverns is to go to Three Horns Divide by Fast-Travelling then walk or drive to Sanctuary Hole.

Once in Sanctuary Hole go to Caustic Caverns as indicated below.

If everything went well you should find yourself in front of Caustic Caverns portal:

2nd step: In Caustic Caverns to the Minecraft easter egg

In Caustic Caverns to the Borderlands 2 Minecraft easter egg there is a little walk to do.

You should find yourself in this spot on the rail track, you must continue a bit further until you find a small cave:

Now you will find yourself in front of Minecraft blocks, to go through use your melee attack, it can take a while to break all the blocks, by breaking the blocks you can loot ammo and eridium.

And here you go, you made it to the Borderlands 2 Minecraft easter-egg, be careful there are also some Creepers waiting for you inside the cave.

Good to know: Gold blocks will loot gold, coal blocks loot ammo, and any block might loot a Minecraft skinned gun.

Continue breaking/mining some of the blocks in the back of the cave to loot the Minecraft skin/head customization.
